2006 Meo Camuzet Corton Clos Rognet

"I am accustomed to the Corton chez Méo being a bit wild and extravagant when the it is in its youth, but the 2006 shows a refinement and an elegance that is emblematic of the vintage, but which is rather rare for this often quite powerful wine. The bouquet is deep and very classy, as it offers up notes of black raspberries, black cherries, game, beautiful minerality, espresso and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full- bodied, racy and quite suave for young Corton, with excellent acids, ripe, substantial tannins and a beautiful, long and minerally finish. One of the finest young Méo Cortons that I have had the pleasure to taste. 2016-2050." [+]
