2008 Fattoria La Lecciaia Brunello Di Montalcino

"Mid ruby with orange-tinged rim. Savoury and a little herbal/vegetal but quite compelling. Loads of grainy tannin structuring sweet fruit while becoming a little dry on the finish. A little bit of age will improve that, no doubt. Drink 2014 to 2020. (WS)" (01/13) 16+ out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages WINERY: "The Lecciaia purchased by Mauro Pacini in 1983, transformed and equipped with the most advanced winemaking techniques, Azienda Agricola is young but in full respect of ancient traditions of Brunello di Montalcino.
