2012 Artevino Flor De Vetus Segovia Rueda

"Fermented in stainless steel tank. Farming: Sustainable. The butterfly on the label turns blue when the wine reaches the appropriate serving temperature. Bright yellow color with green gleams. Intense and harmonious aromas and a rich fruit expression. Tropical fruits and citric notes on the palate, persistent aftertaste. The project of Vetus came to life in 2003 when a 20 hectare property was bought by the Anton family of Villacreces and Izadi. The vineyard is planted with 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo), in a poor soil which produces a low yield and premium quality grape. Vetus is a modern wine with unique characteristics. Old vineyards, head training systems, low production per hectare, and modern irrigation methods are some of the unique practices used to create a wine representative of the region, but with a strong personality. Vetus comes from the verb of latin origin "Veto" which means “forbid, prohibit”, and we seek the origins of what is forbidden because it is there where the source of attraction, curiosity and contradiction lies." -Importer [+]
