The Red Bulletin is an international men’s active lifestyle magazine published monthly in print and digital versions by the Salzburg-based global media company Red Bull Media House.[2] Covering sports, culture and lifestyle, the magazine offers a range of globally relevant content as well as national content featuring localized interests.[3] The journalistic approach of The Red Bulletin underscores visual storytelling, putting an emphasis on exclusive photography and illustration as well as articles, features, and interviews. Dedicated to conveying unique, real-life stories that provide genuine value as well as entertainment, the publishing strategy involves using top writers and photographers to capture crucial moments as they happen, helping readers to discover new facets of compelling destinations, personalities, trendsetters and innovators. Designed for ease of use, the format of The Red Bulletin comprises three primary sections: "Bullevard," a fast-paced introduction to each issue with lively summaries and photos; "Features," containing in-depth stories from both "the World of Red Bull" and beyond with the trademark emphasis on visual storytelling; and "Action," a service journalism section containing tips, reviews, and information on reader-focused topics such as travel, gear, physical training, nightlife, music, parties, cities, clubs and events.[4]


Available on the second Tuesday of every month, The Red Bulletin is published in five languages (English, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese) and distributed through subscriptions, newsstands, partners, and other channels in 11 national editions (USA, UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, New Zealand, Kuwait). Formats include print, the website, The Red Bulletin App, and as a digital magazine on iTunes, Google Play, Zinio, and Issuu.[5] The print circulation is approximately 2 million copies, making The Red Bulletin one of the largest monthlies worldwide.


The Red Bulletin was founded as a magazine for Formula One paddock, printed on location at each stop of the series up to four times on a racing weekend, with the final edition including race results and photos. Its first appearance was at the 2005 Monaco Grand Prix. Subsequently it was a regular during the Formula One season. The Red Bulletin became a monthly magazine at the end of 2007, first appearing on a regular basis in Austria, the home country of Red Bull and Red Bull Media House. The Red Bulletin editorial headquarters is located in Vienna, Austria, with editorial teams also based in the regions that host national editions.


  • 2009: The Red Bulletin was launched in the UK, Germany, Ireland.
  • 2010: Launched in New Zealand, South Africa.
  • 2011: Launched in the United States, Switzerland, France and Mexico. The Red Bulletin was launched.
  • 2013: Launched in Brazil. All national editions became available in digital format in addition to print.
  • 2014: In June 2014, The Red Bulletin went back to its roots for the Formula One Grand Prix at Spielberg. During the race weekend, the magazine was published as a special edition, spotlighting the comeback of the Grand Prix in Austria. In July 2014, The Red Bulletin extended its reach with the launch of The website provides all the articles of the print edition, as well as extra content, in a multimedia format designed for use across devices.[6]
