Aaron T. Chiu

Aaron Chiu is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial Department.

Mr. Chiu’s practice focuses on antitrust, white collar and appellate litigation. His experience includes drafting dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and other pleadings in federal courts and before administrative agencies. He has successfully argued several motions in federal district court. Mr. Chiu also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representation of an indigent defendant facing federal criminal charges.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Chiu serves on the firm’s Training and Career Enhancement Committee, which develops and oversees in-house training and mentoring programs for attorneys at the firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chiu served as a law clerk to the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During law school, Mr. Chiu served as an extern to the Honorable James V. Selna of the US District Court for the Central District of California. He was also the Executive Senior Editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal.
