The city centre is packed with cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife. The Maritime Museum, St Machar's Cathedral, The Stratosphere and Aberdeen Art Gallery are worthwhile stops for those interested in history and culture. Aberdeen has a lovely beach complete with its own promenade and an amusement park - great for entertaining the kids.
Aberdeen is also a great base for exploring the surrounding area, with tourist attractions Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven and Crathes Castle only 15 miles away. Braemar and beautiful Royal Deeside are easily accessible within an hour by car.
All rooms in the youth hostel have neutral décor and each room has shared bathroom facilities. There’s also a shared kitchen, dining area, TV lounge and quiet room. Luggage storage and laundry facilities are available. Wi-Fi access is free. Continental breakfast is available at a charge and packed lunches can be arranged on request. There are also drink and snack vending machines in-house. There is limited free private parking and bicycle storage. A bus stop 200m away provides regular services into the city centre.
