Alan Davis

Alan Davis advises on U.K. and European competition matters in a variety of sectors including financial services, air transport, construction and infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing. He advises on U.K., EU, and multijurisdictional merger filings and has recently advised on the successful clearance of mergers by the Competition and Markets Authority and European Commission in a range of industries.

Alan also advises clients on investigations into anticompetitive agreements and practices. He has substantial experience advising on U.K. and EU cartel investigations, including two criminal cartel investigations in the U.K., as well as on abuse of dominance cases. He also has advised extensively on U.K. market studies and market investigations, especially in the financial services sector. In addition, he has an extensive State aid practice advising public and private sector clients. Alan is regularly involved in proceedings before the European Commission; the Competition and Markets Authority; governmental regulators, including Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets), Office of the Rail Regulator, and the Financial Conduct Authority; as well as the Serious Fraud Office. He has been involved in litigating competition matters before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the English and European courts. [1]
