Drew Jack focuses his practice on the representation of clients in the health care industry in connection with regulatory and transactional matters. His experience includes developing hospital-physician alignment strategies; working with health care providers to develop clinically integrated provider networks and advising on related antitrust, corporate governance, and provider contracting strategies; drafting innovative medical staff bylaws and related medical staff documents; assisting in structuring integrated delivery system transactions; and counseling clients on health care fraud and abuse issues — including compliance with the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Civil Monetary Penalties Law — and FDA regulatory matters. Additionally, Drew has worked with clients in the life sciences industry in connection with multijurisdictional clinical trials and research collaborations.Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, Drew represented a multispecialty physician practice group that employs nearly 300 physicians, physician specialists, and mid-level providers in an affiliation with a local community hospital, which involved a lease of equipment and property, a co-management arrangement, a professional services arrangement, and the transfer of certain assets and liabilities. In addition, he assisted in the corporate reorganization of a joint venture arrangement for the ownership and operation of a radiation therapy treatment facility. Drew also has experience guiding insurance plans through the qualified health plan certification process to offer individual and small group products on the Ohio health insurance exchange.
