Ann Buckingham

Ann Buckingham, counsel in the firm's San Diego office, specializes in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity capital markets, technology transactions and general public company representation, with a particular focus on the communications and technology sectors.

Ms. Buckingham advises public and private companies on a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, capital markets transactions and bank finance, as well as on day-to-day corporate governance matters. In addition, in the communications sector, Ms. Buckingham advises equipment manufacturers and carriers (wireless, fixed line, satellite and submarine cable) on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters. Ms. Buckingham has also advised numerous telecommunications regulators and governments in the developing world on regulatory reform and on liberalization and privatization initiatives.

Ms. Buckingham is the lead author of the chapter on international telecommunications regulation in Telecommunications Law and Regulation (4 ed., 2012, OUP).
