Ascension 2011 Red Blend Ascendance

Ascension’s 2011 Ascendance is a Proprietary Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Cass Vineyard in Paso Robles. The vineyard is located in the rolling, oak-studded hills due east of the ‘Templeton Gap,’ receiving the evening’s cooling breezes that the west side of Paso Robles is known for. Ascendance is a luscious, sleek, complex Bordeaux-style blend with floral, red currant, and spice box aromas and layered, concentrated flavors of black cherry, mocha, white pepper, sweet cinnamon and oak. It’s a velvety soft wine with round tannins that linger on the finish. [+]
