Ashley Kim is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. Ms. Kim’s practice focuses primarily on corporate transactions.
Ms. Kim earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was an Endowed Presidential Scholar and served as an associate editor for the Texas Law Review.
During law school, Ms. Kim was selected to be a 1L Diversity Scholar and served as a legal extern for Justice Jane Bland of the First Court of Appeals. Ms. Kim was also active in the law school community, serving as the 1L liaison and treasurer for the Asian Law Students Association, and receiving Pro Bono Honors from the Richard and Ginni Pro Bono Program. Ms. Kim also gained practical experience as a student attorney for the Transnational Workers Rights Clinic and the Immigration Clinic, providing legal assistance to low-income workers, families and immigrants.
Prior to law school, Ms. Kim worked at an advocacy group in Washington D.C. and in state politics.
Ms. Kim is a member of the State Bar of California as well as the California Young Lawyers Association and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
