Aymen Mahmoud's practice focuses on leveraged finance transactions, financial restructuring, and noncontentious insolvency that includes involvement in securities transactions. He has significant experience advising banks, other financial institutions, and corporate borrowers in relation to a wide range of capital markets, banking, and finance transactions, including financial restructuring, cross-border acquisition finance under European and U.S. structures, post-IPO financing, PIK and bridge financings, general bank lending, and high yield and emerging markets debt offerings.Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Aymen was seconded to Goldman Sachs International and Deutsche Bank AG, where he was involved in leveraged finance, real estate financing, and investment-grade financing transactions. He also was part of a team working with the Loan Market Association in producing standard forms of high yield loan and intercreditor documentation. During this time he acted for Baring Private Equity Asia, BC Partners, Credit Suisse, Intermediate Capital Group, and Société Générale, among others. In addition, Aymen worked in the New York office of a U.S. law firm, where his focus was on acquisition finance, financial restructuring, and U.S. corporate bankruptcy.
