Bacio Divino 2006 Proprietary Red Blend Proprietary Red Blend

Bacio Divino’s 2006 Proprietary Red Blend is the winery’s flagship wine, representing an intriguing blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), with smaller quantities of Sangiovese (15%), Merlot (13%), Petite Sirah (3%), Syrah (2%), and Viognier (2%). Winemaker Claus Janzen’s devotion to Cabernet and blending shines through in this somewhat unorthodox blending of grapes, showing that a whole can truly be greater than its individual parts. The 2006 Bacio Divino releases aromas of blackberry and current (cassis) fruit, with nuances of sweet vanilla and notes of raspberry and licorice. The palate is rich, yet elegant, fruit forward, yet subtle enough to display balance between the tannins, acid, oak and fruit. As individual as its name – divine kiss – the 2006 Bacio Divino is irresistible, adding to the label’s already critically acclaimed reputation with 91 Points from Robert Parker and 91 Points from Connoisseurs’ Guide. An excellent representation of this unique Napa Valley wine brand. [+]
