Benjamin Chouka

Ben Chouka's practice focuses on public and private M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He advises private equity funds as well as strategic investors (sell- and buy-side), with a particular emphasis on cross-border transactions, in many industries, including manufacturing, energy, automotive, and chemicals. In addition to his transactional work, Ben advises public and private companies on general corporate housekeeping and corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Ben worked at an international law firm in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he was a member of the private equity sector group. During his more than five years with this firm, he advised public companies, private equity funds, and large family-owned businesses on a variety of cross-border M&A transactions and strategic alliances in Germany, the U.S., and throughout Europe. Ben complemented his international experience with a client secondment at the MENA headquarters of a major international financial institution in Dubai, where he worked in the global M&A department advising on disposals in several Middle Eastern jurisdictions.
