Bodegas Triton Tinta de Toro 2012

Triton Tinto from Vinas del Cenit is a superb Spanish red from the appellation Castilla y Leon, to the northwest of Toro. In this remote region of Zamora, they have cultivated a unique clone of Tempranillo for centuries. This beautiful red comes from ungrafted 100-year-old Tinto de Toro vines grown on the banks of the Duero River in poor, sandy soil. Small hand-harvested clusters of mature grapes were carefully chosen to make this wine. Jay Miller of Wine Advocate rated it 90 points, and we consider it a true wine gem! [+]
