Brian Lichter is an associate in the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
Mr. Lichter’s practice focuses on defending clients in government investigations, conducting internal investigations, and related civil and criminal litigation.
Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Lichter served for three years as a federal prosecutor in the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division of the US Department of Justice, which he joined through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. He has investigated and prosecuted corruption offenses at the federal, state, and local levels, including bribery, fraud, money laundering, conflicts of interest, election crimes, identity theft, and tax offenses. Mr. Lichter also served as a Special Assistant US Attorney for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he tried numerous bench and jury trials. Prior to his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Mr. Lichter clerked for the Honorable Diane S. Sykes of the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
During law school, Mr. Lichter served as the Special Sections Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review.
