The Brody Johnson Band consists of seven local musicians from all walks of life. Their roots are in country music, and they have received local radio play with their first released single “Sweet Life.” They are currently focused on recording five more original songs for their debut album release later this year. Brody Johnson carries the vocals, plays the acoustic guitar, and is the primary songwriter. His brother Todd also plays the acoustic guitar, the harmonica, and provides vocal harmony. The keyboard player, Greg Gordy, went to high school with both Brody and Todd. Jamie Sexton plays the drums, and was one of the band’s original members. The father-and-son team of Steve and Josh Pettyjohn are on the electric guitars, trading lead and rhythm roles. On bass is Dee Callihan, who is part of the Pettyjohn family by marriage. The band has strong family and personal connections that run much deeper than just playing music. Collectively, they bring talents and experiences from all ends of the musical spectrum, and those diverse influences are honed into a driving country sound that will have you singing and dancing along with them from the very beginning.
