Brooklyn-based BUTCHER KNIVES is a multi-lingual whirlwind of international musical and cultural movements, anchored to a classic kick-you-in-the-eye punk rock aesthetic. BUTCHER KNIVES was founded by Nacho Segura and Niko Matiz after ten years touring with Colombian ska/punk band SKAMPIDA, sharing the stage with the likes of MANU CHAO, GOGOL BORDELLO, GREEN DAY, LENNINGRAD, LOS PERICOS, FERMIN MUGURUZA, and DEVOTCHKA, to name a few.
BUTCHER KNIVES was conceived as a platform on which band members from a diverse array of musical and cultural backgrounds would test the outer limits of their musical dexterity in the context of the simplicity and anarchy of high-energy punk rock. The band’s members collectively hail from five countries, speak six languages
