Cairdean 2013 Syrah Confidant Vineyard

From Cairdean’s 30-acre estate vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley comes the first bottling of the Confidant Vineyard Syrah. This vineyard is sustainably farmed in order to yield the highest quality grapes possible while still respecting the land. The 2013 Syrah is a blend of three Syrah clones, bringing a unique mix of flavors, aromas, and structural qualities to the final wine. In the glass, this 2013 Syrah is vibrant ruby red in color with deep purple hues and edges that fade to magenta. On the nose, a distinct minerality greets you, while elegant aromas of boysenberry, cherry, plum, cocoa powder, and pepper also reveal themselves and contribute to this wine’s ‘wow factor.’ On the palate, this Syrah is smooth, approachable, and well-balanced with integrated oak and firm tannins that will evolve with age.
