Charlotte P. Bodell

Charlotte Bodell's practice focuses on structured finance and workouts. She has represented clients in connection with creditors' rights issues, both in and out of the bankruptcy arena, including forbearance arrangements, restructurings, exercise of remedies, defending preference actions, and participating in bankruptcy section 363 sales.

Charlotte also has substantial experience representing corporate trustees. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, she represented the corporate trustee in restructuring several hundred aircraft financing transactions in the chapter 11 proceedings of United Airlines, Northwest Air Lines, and American Airlines. She also assisted with the successful representations of a purchaser of radio station assets from a bankruptcy estate, including defense of numerous challenges before several different tribunals, and a national banking association in its capacity as trustee in equipment financing transactions in the chapter 11 proceedings of General Motors Corporation.
