As Chelsea Summers walks on the stage and picks up her guitar, all heads turn to see what this beautiful , young, tall blond will do. She's a little shy as she smiles at the crowd. Adjusting her mike, checking that her guitar is in tune, she starts to strum. They still watch and wait. Suddenly, as she starts to sing, eyes go wide; "Where did that voice come from?"

Chelsea is a 17 year old self taught guitarist and prolific songwriter with an amazing voice.

She's got the looks. She's got the talent. She's got the sound.

Playing hundreds of live shows over the last 4 years, Chelsea Summers has made quite a name for herself around the lowcountry of South Carolina and the historic town of Summerville, in which her and her family reside.

Chelsea taught herself to play guitar at 13 and very shortly after had her first live performance. She started with talent shows and singing for charity events, and quickly was getting paid gigs at various music venues around her hometown. Word spread and Chelsea found herself being a very in-demand acoustic performer, often playing 3-4 shows a week during the summer months while school was out.

At 15, Chelsea won an online contest through the then (now, to open for one of her favorite bands, Parachute. The show was held at Ziggy's in Winton-Salen in front of some 800 fans.
Chelsea also spent parts of the last 3 summers in Nashville, TN, where she was lucky enough to have been chosen as 1 of only 50 songwriters nationwide to attend NSAI's Advanced Songwriting Camp.

After last summers self release of her ballad heavy debut EP "Unspoken", Chelsea's style has emerged more along the lines of Miranda Lambert meets Grace Potter. Heavier, more exciting songs are just the start of what we may see in the near future from this constantly changing young artist.

Chelsea Summers- A little bit of pop, a little bit of country, a little bit of indie rock, a whole lot of feeling. [+]
