Cherine Foty

Cherine Foty focuses her practice on international commercial and investor-state arbitration. She has represented clients on various matters in ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, CRCICA, and ad hoc arbitrations and in a variety of litigation disputes.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Cherine practiced law in Paris, where she represented clients in international commercial arbitration and French litigation cases. She also taught law at the University of Paris Sorbonne and Assas law schools for three years and served on the faculty research group at the Comparative Law Institute at Assas under the direction of Professor Louis Vogel. As a law student, Cherine served as an international law research assistant to Professor Ralph Steinhardt and interned at various institutions in Washington, D.C., including the United States Department of Justice, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, and the Center for Justice and International Law.
