Chris Decker is a 27 year old Folk-Punk musician from Wilkes-Barre PA. Born and raised in the Tri-State area, he started off learning the bass guitar at age 13 until he picked up the guitar and was self taught. Performing in various punk and ska bands in his early days, Chris eventually evolved into the style he plays today in the vein of acoustic solo singing/songwriting. Chris cites his influences ranging from,Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, and Bob Marley all the way up to The Clash, Flogging Molly and The Pogues. Over the years, he has grown to write about the struggles of every day man. He tries to relate and relay his feeling about the rights and respect of the working man, the oppression of the upper class, personal physical, mental, and spiritual struggles, love gained and lost, and just plain out having a good time. When performing live, he perfectly displays his true blue attitude and relation to the wild spirited every day person just trying to live their life for the sake of living. He's described by audience members as honest, down to earth, relatabale, and very direct without being abrasive that enables him to standout in the solo genre. He is looking to make a splash on ANY music crowd and audience who is willing to listen, not to mention have a good time while doing it.

Chris Decker has recently recorded and released a 3 song Demo that is out now, and is currently looking for any bookings. [+]
