Christian F. McDermott

Christian McDermott is an associate in the Outsourcing and Technology Transactions practice in the firm’s London office.

Mr. McDermott has a wide range of experience advising both publicly listed and private companies on technology, commercial law and intellectual property matters, including large-scale technology and outsourcing projects, post-acquisition transitional services arrangements, and telecoms network acquisitions and sharing arrangements.

His work to date has spanned a variety of sectors, but his principal focus has been on the financial services, technology, telecommunications and utilities sectors.

Alongside a broad specialism in IT, outsourcing and telecoms transactions, Mr. McDermott has particular expertise in the field of cards and payments and has advised on a number of significant merchant services agreements, ATM charging arrangements, the rules of the Bank of England’s Note Circulation Scheme, the LINK, Visa and MasterCard scheme rules, and various commercial cards agreements.
