Christiane Schweizer has been active in the area of intellectual property since 2006. She works on patent prosecution, opposition and appeal proceedings, patent invalidation, and patent litigation. She also provides patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate, and infringement opinions and is involved in nullity and infringement proceedings. Christiane assists international companies with global patent prosecution strategy and portfolio development including supplementary protection certificates (SPC).As a certified pharmacist, Christiane's technical experience is in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences, particularly organic and inorganic chemistry, pharmacology, medical devices, and products. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2011, she worked in Austria as a patent attorney in the patent department of a multinational pharmaceutical company that specializes in medications in the field of antibiotics and oncology.
