Christopher R.J. Pace

Chris Pace has litigated cases in federal and state courts throughout the country as well as in foreign jurisdictions. He represents clients in large class action lawsuits (including those alleging antitrust and unfair competition violations), criminal/grand jury matters, regulatory agency investigations, intellectual property disputes, civil RICO actions, and other commercial cases. Chris also conducts internal investigations for corporations and boards of directors. He has served as lead counsel in more than 20 successful trials and as prevailing oral advocate in more than 25 appeals.

Prior to joining Jones Day in mid-2014, Chris has had a diverse career that has included service as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida and as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, as well as practicing law in (and still being an active member of the bars in) Florida, California, Texas, and Washington, D.C. He has represented a number of Fortune 500 companies on an array of matters, including in multidistrict litigation proceedings around the country and in response to government criminal and regulatory investigations. This has included multiple engagements by health care-related companies in connection with class action lawsuits, commercial disputes, and investigations by the Department of Justice, state attorneys general, and regulatory agencies.
