ClusterPluck is an Americana/progressive bluegrass band out of Saint Louis, Mo. Utilizing acoustic instruments in a bluegrass-folk-pop-ish style, the five players in ClusterPluck bring it on and score high. Chris Rader (vocals, banjo, guitar), Justin Torres (vocals, bass, guitar), Derek Rutter (vocals, mandolin, guitar), Leah Osborne
(vocals, washboard, ukulele) and Matt Gadeken (violin, vocals) go deep in the rhythm to present interesting lyrical songs while knocking out killer instrumental runs cloaked in soaring five-part vocals. Each member individually writes and is a multi instrumentalist. ClusterPluck has been a band now for almost 4 years. Starting out as a 3 piece for the first year and then adding Leah after. ClusterPluck traveled throughout the region as a 4 piece for close to a year, having also put out our first self-titled album. We became the 5 piece we are today only a year after Leah joined. ClusterPluck picked up their violin player in March of 2013. As a 5 piece they have traveled the country.. including the states MO, IL, AR, TN, IN, KY, OH, MN, WS, KS, CO, UT, NV, CA, NM, AZ, OK. Most of these states we have visited multiple times. They managed to put out another album called "The Open Road" and remastered their first album with their violin player on it. Last summer alone they hit 12 Festivals. Some of them include SummerCamp, Mulberry Mountain Harvest Festival, Wakarusa, Project Earth: WookieFoot, Revival Fest, John Hartford Memorial Festival, RiverStomp, Ecofest and many more. We've shared the stage and opened for the likings of Yonder Mountain, Elephant Revial, Railroad Earth, Dirtfoot, Ben Miller Band, Mountain Sprout, Hot Buttered Rum, Henhouse Prowlers and many more again.
