Come On Caboose began life as a home recording project by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Coran Stetter. In April 2009, Stetter recorded songs for the band's debut EP, "Wave Maker" in Indianapolis, Indiana with Tyler Watkins (Margot and the Nuclear So and So's). The atmospheric dream pop of "Wave Maker" began drawing wider attention, leading Come On Caboose to perform at the CMJ fest in New York City and play shows throughout the Midwest and South. However, over the next two years, complications in Stetter's personal life, including a demanding day job, unexpected illness, and the questioning of life's paths that comes inherent to being in your mid-twenties halted whatever traction had been gained by "Wave Maker".
At the start of 2012, after almost two years of inactivity with Come On Caboose, Stetter found himself out of a day job yet, surprisingly, a renewed sense of purpose. Immediately the creative forces that had been suppressed for far too long became realized and an outpouring of inspiration resulted in song after song after song. For the next several months Stetter worked on the new material, recording demos again in his bedroom. After posting a few of the new demos to the band's press kit, Come On Caboose was invited again to perform at CMJ 2012. Currently, Stetter is working with Brian Davis on what will become the next Come On Caboose release. [+]
