Cosby Gibson is a songwriter and singer, and lives near the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. She has performed in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic States, Appalachian region, Canada, and Europe at over 600 events.
Cosby writes unique acoustic and folk-style songs and finds her inspiration from the countryside, forest, and human relationships. Her instrumentation includes guitar, violin, and dulcimer.
Outstanding performances include Pete Seeger's Beacon Sloop Festivals, Macy's Department Store Benefit shows, Falcon Ridge Acoustic Music Scene showcase, Yankee Candle Village Festivals, Six on the Square Emerging Artist Series, shows in Brussels, Belgium, and television and radio appearances.
Cosby is the founder of a non-profit music project "The Flying Song Garden," which brings performances to communities in hardship from occurrences of natural disaster, catastrophe, worksite closure and the like. The Song Garden has a roster of over 20 musicians and is accepted to the New York Foundation for the Arts.
She has just embarked on a Patron of the Arts program through the Patreon.com website where Patrons pledge for songs, drawings and video creations each month. At present there are 20 patrons.
Upcoming goals include national touring, obtaining a motor home, and releasing a new album in October of 2015, "Talking to Echos."
