Daniel Gray is a tenacious singer/songwriter who has experienced more in his 23-years than most people do in a lifetime. A refugee from Katrina-devastated New Orleans, Daniel has chosen to use his experiences to fuel his creativity, creating his commercial and critically successful dance album "INVICTUS" with platinum-award winning producer Mark Berry, whose credits include artists such as David Bowie, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Boy George, Kool & the Gang, and Yes.
In July 2009 he released his debut single "Lost & Found" which garnered a lot of request and attention. The music video was world premiered by Jennifer Hudson on LOGO's PopLab. His second single "Cast Away" was another runaway success, for with Beyonce Knowles premiered video on LOGO’s PopLab.
In the summer of 2010, Daniel began to work on a new album with a new producer, DJ Dirty Boy, an up-and-coming producer from Connecticut. Daniel says he wants to get in touch with something a little grittier, dark and 100% pure club dance. With the album slated to be released in the first quarter of 2012 there is plenty to look forward to. In May of 2011 Daniel released his first official buzz single, entitled "Incarcerated", that got a massive response, with over 1500 downloads in the first week on SoundCloud and iTunes. The success of the single along with his ever-growing presence in New York's nightlife culture landed Daniel a distribution deal with Island Def Jam Digital.
Daniel Gray promises that, "Although this is a dance album, it is also personal and intimate." Daniel has taken it upon himself to write every song on the yet untitled album independently from anyone else. He is also currently writing for and collaborating with other artist such as, New York performers Athena Reich, Josh Zuckerman, The Glamazons, The KiKi Twins, Xcelle, and performances with Ryan McNally, choreographer to Mimi Imfurst and her girl group Xcelle, DJ Beats, and DJ Paul Leasure.
