Daniel Splittgerber

Dr. Daniel Splittgerber is an associate in the Hamburg office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Finance Department. He is part of the German Restructuring and Insolvency Practice and focuses on complex financial restructurings and financings.

He represents national and international banks, private equity investors and strategic investors and also advises companies in their corporate restructurings and in refinancings. He has experience with out-of-court restructurings as well as insolvency proceedings, refinancings, distressed mergers and acquisitions and debt-to-equity transactions.

Before joining Latham, Mr. Splittgerber worked as a research assistant and assistant lecturer at the Institute for International Business Law of the University of Münster, where he also obtained his doctorate with a thesis on the treatment of enterprise groups under national insolvency law, for which he was awarded the “Harry-Westermann-Preis” for outstanding dissertations by the Faculty of Law.
