David M. Belczyk

David Belczyk is a mechanical engineer and former state prosecutor, who has tried numerous cases to verdict in both the state and federal courts and has argued before the federal circuit courts. His practice involves diverse and complex litigation matters, such as large-scale construction and property-development disputes, alleged product failures, and similar technical matters. His practice also includes general contract litigation, class action defense, False Claims Act defense in the health care and other arenas, CERCLA, and consumer-credit litigation.

David's engineering degree gives him a distinctive understanding of his clients' businesses, products, and contracts. It also affords him an appreciation of the issues that both contractors and owners may face throughout large construction, demolition, and development projects. David works with industry experts to analyze large-scale projects and related claims, such as disruption or defect. He also helps clients examine their businesses and products proactively, to reduce future exposure by forward thinking and effective contracting. In addition to David's trial experience, he has successfully mediated numerous cases in the construction and consumer-credit litigation contexts. [1]
