David Vella

David Vella has a soulful mix of Blues, Americana, Rock, and a eclectic mix of modern folk.

Originally roots from Chicago, IL but now calls Austin Texas his home.

David was the lead singer, guitarist, and song writer for Satya Graha. Satya Graha released their first album with Ardvark Records in the UK. Satya Graha has been featured in a Bilbolaget (Swedish Car Franchise) commerical, featured in US TV Show Hellcats, and was nominated for BBC Radio 6 “Song of the Year 2004”. After their release of “Under the Skin”, the band parted ways.

After the split, David Vella decided to pursue his solo career and traveled to Las Vegas Nevada to record his first solo album, appropriately titled, “Sorry.” The album was recorded at Olive Branch Studios and was released in 2009 and re-released in 2012.

In 2012, David auditioned for the television show "The Voice" and made it through the first round, top 90 out of over 5000 who auditioned in Dallas Texas.
