"...a more diverse take on Americana with a distinctly female tone, and quite charming." — East Bay Express
Deborah Crooks's lyric-driven and soul-wise music draws on folk, rock, Americana and the blues. Often compared to Lucinda Williams and The Cowboy Junkies, she's recorded two full-length Cds to positive reviews, toured the North and Southwest, spoken on creativity at MacWorld and SXSW, and is an active member of the San Francisco Bay Area songwriting and arts community, where she frequently collaborates in the studio and onstage. In 2016, she'll be touring with guitarist Kwame Copeland as part of Bay Station (https://baystationband.bandcamp.com/) [+]
