Diluvio AZ is Latin rock band that originated in Tucson, Arizona. It started in the home of siblings Alejan- dra, Danny, and Kevin Perez. They had gotten home from church group and realized they wanted to play more than choir music. Alejandra, a talented vocalist since her childhood, took the mic, while Danny played the guitar and Kevin the bass. After Kevin left the band to serve in the Air Force, Danny's childhood friend, Alan Villaescusa took his place. Shortly after that Eddie and Lucia joined the band. They had met Alejandra previ- ously volunteering in a service project. The band has many original songs including “Mi Vida en Sol” and “Libro de Canciones” which can be found in media sites such as Facebook, reverbnation, youtube and soundcloud.
Diluvio AZ is currently working on their debut album, which will be titled “Libro de Canciones” and will be available soon. Diluvio plays shows regularly within southern Arizona, with the consistent support from their community. In October 2013, Diluvio AZ won Terra.com's “Persigue tu Sueño” (Follow your Dreams), an online voting contest, and they were flown to Miami for an exclusive recording and interview session that was broadcast through Terra.com's web site on Oct. 30, 2013. Because of this achievement, the band had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to record two songs, “Mi Vida en Sol Part 2” and “Ahora Lo Se.” They hope that with the release of the album will lead to future success and expansion of the Spanish rock scene in the United States.
