Although dimmi® footwear makes women's comfort shoes, the brand itself was born from personal tragedy. Consolidated Shoe Company (CSC) has been a family owned company for four generations. Its last president, Richard A. Carrington IV, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and passed away at the age of 39. The impact of the disease to family, friends and colleagues was enormous. The experience compelled Richard's brother, Billy, to take action - develop a line of shoes with the sole purpose of funding medical care and research. Thus, dimmi footwear became reality.
All dimmi shoes are perky and light, and designed for both young and experienced women who are conscious of wellness, comfort and style. Whether you are dressing for the office or running errands to the farmer's market, dimmi has the perfect shoe for you! From the simplistic sneaker to the lovely mary jane, each style will leave you feeling comfortable, stylish and most of all, that you are making a difference to the lives of others.
The dimmi mission is to donate 100% of profits to medical causes - year in, and year out. Each purchase of dimmi shoes adds to the strength of the dimmi community. Remember, together we can help change lives for the better! [+]
