DJ Ison and Triple Threat

Born of the L.A. blues scene, DJ Ison and Triple Threat is comprised of professional touring and studio musicians. They play music from classic Blues artists like BB King, Albert King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Buddy Guy.

Playing and performing at a very young age, guitarist DJ also started writing and recording early on and has since toured across the country and played internationally. An LA Music Award-winning performer, DJ has played on stages with many talented performers over his career; including members of The Doobie Brothers, Walter Trout, Bob Seger, and later opened for international acts Incubus, Dokken and others. DJ has been compared to some pretty fantastic superstars such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Steve Vai; and has even being referred to as, "DJ Ray Vaughan".

The band's origins began in the local LA Blues club scene networking with local talent, searching for the right players to form the band. DJ enlisted the talents of bassist (and sax man) Garland Campbell (who shared stages with Billy Richard’s Coasters, Richard Street of the Temptations, and the legendary Shirelles and twice performed for former President Bill Clinton); drummer Charles Wiley (a 20-year musical artist, who writes and records for both TV and Film and recently recorded for UK’s Shaughnessy); and keyboardist Damian Heredia (having performed on US, Canadian, and European tours; also performed in the orchestra for productions of The Wiz, Cheaper By the Dozen, The Cross and The Switchblade).

This band is a high energy, soul-stirring, hard-rocking blues group that makes people get up and dance!

With several shows under their belt, they’re ready to take their brand of Blues to the next level and deliver this music to the masses of Blues-loving fans across the country and beyond! Check out a show sometime and enjoy DJ Ison and Triple Threat. [+]
