Dr. Dorothee Herrmann is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Latham & Watkins. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department and White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice.
Ms. Herrmann has experience in various aspects of white collar defense and investigation matters, including defending corporate clients in complex litigation and appellate proceedings, negotiating agreements with government authorities, and coordinating the work of other project specialists.
Furthermore, she advises clients in various industries on German and European privacy law in the context of internal investigations, corporate and commercial litigation, and consumer protection proceedings.
Besides her legal studies, Ms. Herrmann studied business economics at the University of Bayreuth, obtaining an additional degree in business law. While obtaining her law and business law degrees, Ms. Herrmann also studied abroad at the Université de Lausanne.
After finishing her studies, Ms. Herrmann received the Juris Doctor degree from the University of Frankfurt and published a book on the European Data Retention Directive and its implementation into German law. Before joining the firm as an associate, Ms. Herrmann was a legal trainee in the firm’s Frankfurt and Washington, D.C. offices.
