Dr. Carlos Zamora is an associate professor of medicine with the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and director of Mount Sinai's Sports Cardiology Program.
Board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine, Dr. Zamora's clinical focus is on the sports cardiology. Sports cardiology focuses on evaluation, treating and monitoring healthy adults as well as patients with cardiovascular conditions or who are recovering from cardiac surgery to ensure they are healthy enough to participate in athletic activities. Dr. Zamora also advises patients on the prevention of cardiac disease. He is proficient in the interpretation of echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, vascular ultrasound and cardiac computed tomography angiographies.
He is a Brazilian native and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
