Dr. Elizabeth Y. Leon graduated from the University of Chicago Priztker School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. She is board certified, and established West Plano Pediatrics in 1995. She has been serving the DFW communities for the past 20 years. She became interested in medicine as a senior in high school while studying about the human body in her Anatomy & Physiology class. Combined with her compassion for the sick, especially children, she chose to further her training in pediatric medicine. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Leon has been privileged to care for her patients since birth to high school graduation. Even after graduation, some of her patients are reluctant to move to an adult physician because they enjoy seeing Dr. Leon and her staff at the office.
Outside of the office, Dr. Leon manages her household of a husband, two adolescent boys, and an active Kindergartener. In addition to her family commitments, she is deeply rooted in her faith and active with her church ministries. She has been involved with children ministry for over 35 years, and is currently teaching Kindergarten Sunday school. Other interests include playing the piano, cooking, gardening, and snorkeling.
