Dr. Jakob Guhn

Dr. Jakob Guhn practices in the areas of trademark, design, unfair competition, and copyright law. He regularly advises international brands on cross-border IP strategy and litigation matters. In particular, his practice focuses on contentious litigation matters, where he regularly appears in court. He also has broad experience advising international clients on antipiracy strategies as they relate to customs matters and trade fair surveillance and advising on marketing campaigns and product rollouts in the European market. In addition, he advises clients on transactions in the area of IP, license agreements, and protection of know-how.

Jakob represents inter alia a leading car manufacturer and a leading consumer brand in questions of unfair trade practices. Moreover, he regularly represents a leading child seats manufacturer, clothing companies, a tool manufacturer, and a medical device manufacturer in the fields of trademark, design, and unfair competition. Recently Jakob advised XIO, an international investment fund, and MEXX Germany, an international fashion company, on transactional matters in the field of trademark law. [1]
