Dr. Kami Parsa is an Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes exclusively in reconstructive, revisional and cosmetic surgery of the eyes and surrounding tissue. His expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery has made him the choice for patients who have had previous plastic surgery and now need revisional surgery around the eyes. Dr. Parsa has appeared on numerous media outlets around the world, including\xa0CNN,\xa0ABC,\xa0NBC,\xa0CBS,\xa0The New York Times\xa0and\xa0the Miami Herald.
After graduating with honors from the\xa0University of Southern California School of Medicine, Dr. Parsa completed a residency in ophthalmology at\xa0USC's prestigious Doheny Eye Institute. He then completed a two year sub-specialty fellowship in Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the\xa0University of Miami 's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute,\xa0 ranked by\xa0U.S. News and World Report\xa0as the number one program in the country.
Dr. Parsa is a member of the\xa0American Academy of Ophthalmology\xa0and fellowship trained by the\xa0American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at\xa0USC's Department of Ophthalmology. For the past decade, he has been involved in many clinical and basic science research projects.\xa0 Dr. Parsa has also published numerous articles and has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally. His current research focus is in the development of customized 3-D implants for patients with major ocular and facial deformities.
In addition to maintaining a busy surgical practice, Dr. Parsa is involved in several humanitarian organizations. He is the one of the founders of\xa0Surgical Friends Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to delivering reconstructive surgery to patients who do not have access to quality medical care. He is an active volunteer surgeon for\xa0International Kids Fund\xa0and has participated in numerous reconstructive surgeries through this organization.
