Dr. Marc Baskin, MD

Dr. Marc Baskin, M.D. has been practicing medicine since 1979. Dr. Baskin is a member of the American College of Allergists and the Los Angeles Society of Allergy & Immunology. He became a Board-Certified Allergist and Immunologist in 1983, and has been helping patients for over 30 years.

Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Baskin came out to California to attend college at USC. Dr. Baskin returned to Chicago to complete an M.D. degree at the Chicago Medical School, before coming back to California to complete an internship and residency at the UCI Long Beach VA Medical Center.

Dr. Baskin initially studied Internal Medicine, but took the opportunity in 1981 to pursue his passion with a fellowship in Allergy and Immune Diseases. Dr. Baskin likes that as an allergist, he is involved with a variety of organ systems, and that he works with patients of all ages.

Dr. Baskin says that one of the most important parts of being an allergist is working closely with patients and their families. He thinks it's rewarding to start helping someone from a young age and to continue to work with them throughout their whole life.

Today Dr. Baskin splits his time between practicing medicine and a Clinical Professorship at the UCI VA hospital, where he shares his specialist knowledge with fellows, residents and medical students. In his free time, Dr. Baskin enjoys sailing and skiing, with Mammoth Mountain and Telluride in Colorado being some of his favorite spots.
