Dr. Garzon joined the faculty of the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the staff of Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York- Presbyterian in 1995 and founded the Division of Pediatric Dermatology. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Clinical Pediatrics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Dr. Garzon received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. She completed her pediatric residency at Babies Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at Columbia University. She was a fellow in Pediatric Dermatology at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL.
Dr. Garzon is nationally recognized as a leader in Pediatric Dermatology. She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on a wide variety of topics in pediatric dermatology. Her current research interests focus on of vascular birthmarks in children. She is one of the founding members of the Hemangioma Investigator Group. She and has lectured at numerous medical meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Pediatrics, National Institute of Health and International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies.
Dr. Garzon is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Dermatology.
