Dr. Steffens has practiced Emergency Medicine and Family Practice for the past 23 years.
He has served 19 years in administrative roles as medical director of both Emergency Departments, nursing homes, a clinic and as a hospital chief of staff.
Dr. Steffens is double Board certified in Emergency Medicine and Family Practice. He was also certified as a Medical Review Officer in 2004 and a Certified Medical Director in 1999.
Academic appointments include Clinical Site Coordinator and clinical instructor for Lincolin Memorial University School of Medicine, Trevecca Physician Assistant, and Vanderbilt Nurse Practitioner programs.
Awarded Medical Director of the Year twice and second place once by Team Health.
Dr. Steffens has been involved in providing medical, humanitarian, and evangelistic services in various regions of the world, including, Lesotho Africa, Dominican Republic, Philippines, Peru, Romania, Moldova, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.
Hobbies include music production, photography, community lifestyle education instruction, family, and church.
