Dr. Robert L. Duhaney, MD

Robert L. Duhaney, M.D., is board-certified in internal medicine and is a member of Texas Health Physicians Group, with hospital admitting privileges at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and Plano. Dr. Duhaney offers comprehensive health care for patients ages 16 and older, and has special interests in nutrition, weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular care, and general preventative medicine. He has both an allergy lab and sports-med chiropractic services on site. Dr. Duhaney completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida (UF) in 1999, followed by a two-year research-based master's program in food science and human nutrition at UF. He graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia in 2005 and completed his internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. After his residency, Dr. Duhaney moved to Dallas to join Texas Health Physicians Group. He currently works with his nurse practitioner, Laura Lawrence, at Internal Medicine of Addison in Addison, TX. Dr. Duhaney feels that the doctor-patient relationship is best viewed as a partnership based on mutual respect, compassionate care, and patient education. He has two sons and a daughter with his wife, Kelli. They are active at church and other community outreach programs in Dallas.
