Dr. Salvacion Torre, MD

Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Torre came to the US to complete her medical education and decided to make this her home. Upon completion, she spent six years working in a hospital and for the Department of Health in Chicago. In 1979, Dr. Torre became an active duty medical officer with the United States Army, where she took on the role of Chief Emergency Treatment Room physician at Fort Ord, California. After her two year stint at Ford Ord, Dr. Torre continued her military service as an Active Reserve Medical Officer at the US Army at the 349th General Hospital in Los Angeles. She retired from the military at the end of 2003 after 24 years of service.

During her years as a reservist and after, Dr. Torre also worked with several large medical groups in the LA area prior to joining MemorialCare Medical Group in 2012.
