Dr. Steven Naymagon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook University earning departmental honors in biochemistry for his research in developmental genetics. He went on to earn his medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He stayed on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine as well as his fellowship in gastroenterology at The Mount Sinai Hospital. In his final year of training he was named Chief Gastroenterology Fellow.
Dr. Naymagon's clinical interest is in the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). Training at The Mount Sinai Hospital allowed him to learn from the world's experts and thought leaders in the field of inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Naymagon has published several articles on topics including inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer disease and colorectal cancer. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he is involved in the education of fellows, residents and medical students.
