Ryan Gregory Floyd first moved to New Orleans at the age of 16 with his mother and stepsister in 2001. He took advantage of every opportunity to learn about the crafts of songwriting and music producing from his step-father, local composer and songwriter, Jep Epstein. Since then Ryan has traveled widely, studying in DC and living in Italy and Greece, and since 2007 has called New Orleans home again. Ryan has been a force in the local community of singer-songwriters in New Orleans, creating singer-songwriter shows at various venues and recording and filming local acts for his YouTube channel. Ryan believes in a renaissance in New Orleans, one that embraces both the old and the new, and which deserves to be recognized on a national level. His music is strongly rooted in his background in literature, with sophisticated lyrics set to the rough and tumble folk rhythms of his Cajun grandfather. He performs solo as well as with an acoustic trio. [+]
