Dylan Meyer (born Janurary 30, 1992) is a Australian rock musician, singer/songwriter, recording artist, and guitarist.
Born in Melbourne, Victoria, he began violin at the age of 4 and continued until the age of 16. At 13, he began teaching himself the guitar and writing his first songs, and shortly after began performing at various open mics and venues around Melbourne.
Desperate to make something happen, in 2011 he rented a local studio for 3 hours and recorded 5 songs. He marked this experience as "eye opening", and few weeks later he was contacted by Melbourne based producer Sam Panetta (Kylie Minogue, Kisschasey, Crowded House) and Sony subsidiary Melodic Music, after a friend uploaded his recordings to the Internet without his knowledge.
Eventually signing on with Melodic on an EP deal, Sam worked with him on nights, weekend's and days off, to slowly put together Dylan's "When It's Quiet EP" and the single "Running" - culminating in a sold out EP launch at Melbourne's infamous 'Red Bennies', with more than 200 people packing into the venue.
With his local success propelling him, Dylan moved to Los Angeles in September, 2013 to further his music career, with his debut EP "When It's Quiet" was released Janurary 8, 2014. [+]
